Hotel Check-in Kiosks: Long Overdue |
|---|
|
Publisher Emeritus
Hotels were at the forefront of introducing check in units but travelers did not want to use them, they stood in long lines just to interact with front desk person. Hyatt Regency in Cicagon was the first some 20 years ago but check ins would wait in long check in lines often over an hour and bypass machines they did not feel comfortable with. Hyatt finally pulled them out. It was only when airlines, in recent years, made their use mandatory did the rtravelling public stasrt to use these kiosks and then felt comforable. The hotels have respinded this time with good results and their use is spreading with Hyatt again leading the way. 2007-08-31 Jerry Merkin |
